“Information is Beautiful Awards”是为了鼓励和奖励在图表设计、数据、信息可视化方向上做出优秀表现的设计师和设计作品，至今已经举办了四届。今年，“Information is Beautiful Awards”除了团体项目类之外，更是延伸到了个人及学生项目，以此来鼓励更多领域的人参加。上篇的作品以设计为主，而在下篇中，我们则会为大家介绍更多优秀的制作软件。

Dear Data

Giorgia Lupi 和 Stephanie Posavec 是两位数据可视化设计师。他们一个住在纽约，一个住在伦敦，而这个 Dear Data 项目是他们每周例行的一次“笔友会”：每周确定一个主题（或者说数据展现的方式），收集自己这周生活中出现的数字（开过的门，喝过的酒）然后把这些画成可视化数据的形式，寄给对方。
